Fort Road

Commercial and Leisure

Renovation of a series of degraded buildings as part of a larger plan to renovate a local park in Newhaven.

The site comprises of a toilet facility block, a cricket pavilion and a multi-use venue, known as Shakespeare Hall, all of which will undergo repairs and improvements, re-cladding, reworking internally.

Shakespeare Hall will see the addition of a café, multi-use hall and attached play park alongside improvements that will facilitate the existing nursery group that is resident there.

Important factors in the design are improving the usage of the buildings as well as a sense of cohesion and identity across the site with improved way finding and facilities.
